When speaking of magnificent tourist destinations in the world, the beautiful exotic nation of Indonesia is certainly one of the most worth considering ones. It is a breathtaking country that is particularly located in the Southeast part of Asia. It is very popular for having great numbers of volcanic islands. Indonesia is even very famous in the entire world because of the numerous tribes that are living all over the country, especially to the remote places here. The city of Jakarta is the capital of the country, and its current President is Joko Widodo.
The Rich History of Indonesia
A million years ago, the entire Indonesian archipelago was inhabited by the so-called “Java Man” or the “Homo Erectus”. Homo Sapiens were said to arrive in this archipelago 45,000 years in the past. All of these facts can be confirmed by the fossils and foils found by historians and archaeologists in the different regions of the country. Austronesian people who came from Taiwan arrived here way back in 2000 BCE, and these people were said to be the ancestors of Melanesian people who are currently living in
All of us are excited and look forward to our break. No matter how grand or simple our travel plans are, they are special for us. However, when things go wrong, these special moments can be turned into truly disastrous ones. This is the last thing you wish for on a trip. As bad as it may sound, many of us have to become victims of such travel disasters. Here we reveal the most common ones and advise you on how you can escape them easily.
1. Someone Breaking In Your House
Many of us are so fearful about this that we decide not to travel altogether. Sadly, there are criminals always on the watch for you to desert your surroundings so that they can attack them. It’s never a good feeling getting back to your own comfort zone, with many of your valuables being picked up. It is indeed a very scary feeling. This is a common problem, and a lot can be done to avoid it. You may install the professional security locking system. It is advanced and efficient at what it does. Let
I love to sample new foods and I love to try things that are very local. Hojaldres, for instance, are Panama’s equivalent to fried dough and when served with breakfast make you feel like you are getting eggs at the fair.
There is a tendency for travelers to eat at places that look clean and have a nice ambiance. Occasionally those places are fun to visit because they offer high-end foods that appeal to the tourist’s tongue. But they are usually expensive and, in all honesty, don’t always offer the best food.
Little local joints typically don’t look the cleanest from the outside and in some cases look down right terrifying. I am fearless when it comes to trying new places to eat, but occasionally I have paid a very dear price for my bravery.
Once I stopped at a little restaurant in Mexican Rivera Maya, just south of Cancun. It consisted of two plastic tables sitting outside a tiny cement home. Two people were sitting there, but they had the appearance of being family. I figured it would be a great way to meet people and
Need a break from that hectic routine? What can be better than travelling to a completely new place? Nothing can be more refreshing than a vacay in one of the following destinations, because each one of them is filled with amazing fun. A few of the must consider places to visit are mentioned below:
Krabi in Thailand
Sun-kissed beaches, pellucid blue water well buckled with a perfect climate is an ideal quick-fix when you want a small break from the everyday normal life.
Srinagar in kashmir
Srinagar, a true heaven on earth, beautifully curled up amid the adored Himalayan range. Experience and enjoy some time near the Dal Lake or in the houseboat floating on the waters, here you can do some woolgathering about a fairy tale lifestyle.
Colombo in Sri Lanka
Enjoy the best of the town life and lavish beaches in the capital city of Sri Lanka. Spend your complete day lounging on the beachside and end it with club-hopping in the city.
Tokyo in japan
Tokyo is a whole new world in Japan that will make you question everything you have ever believed about life. Just imagine person with
It’s 3:30 in the morning, dark, no sign of a sunrise. We slog through soggy marshland. April is not always kind. It’s cold, damp. What the hell are we doing here near Plover, Wisconsin in the middle of a freezing night? Finally, we arrive at a low building, a blind. If you stand to your full height, even mine!… you bang you head on the roof boards. We sit on low benches, peer through slits in the structure. Like a bunker on a battlefield! And then, daylight pops up like a mylar helium balloon let fly by a child with greasy fingers. I’d missed it, sunrise; maybe I nodded off… I look through the narrow window; there they are! Dozens of them. Prairie chickens! Dancing wildly, horny, moaning madly, revealing the full majesty of their gorgeous feathery sex apparatus!
What a terrific, comic performance! They puff out brilliant orange sacs beneath their throats, drum their little feet, dance furiously to attract a mate. Territorial males leap into the air to warn off other males, interlopers. Then attraction happens!… A successful male bows to a female.
Although it is the second largest Island in the United States, only around 10,000 people actually populate the Island. Only a few roads access the most eastern region of the island and that area is known as the road zone. The rest of the island can only be accessed through rough ATV trails, backpacking, a boat or a float plane. That area of the Island is known as the Remote Zone. This area, covered in dense brush, frozen streams and snow covered mountains, is an endless expanse of some of the wildest country in the world. It is truly, “The Last Frontier.” In this part of the world, the Kodiak Grizzly bear is found, which can grow to over ten feet tall and weight over 1200 pounds. The island is a Sportsman’s dream. Salmon runs last from June to September. Halibut are abundant along the coast and have been as big as 400 pounds in these waters. Sitka Deer, Reindeer and Mountain Goat hike along the mountain trails more frequently than backpackers. Kodiak Island even has its own wild Buffalo herds. The summer months
Do you like to take vacations? Where do you go? Depending on your answers, you will tag yourself somewhere in a range between the cautious traveler and the thrill seeker. There is nothing uncool about being anywhere on the range. Folks tend to take vacations that fit their age, experience, temperament, judgement, and budget. Also, a thrill seeker who has a young family with children, will be impeded by responsibility, so it evens out.
What is the essence of adventure? I define it this way: It is an adrenaline rush of exhilaration, an experience that combines freedom with vulnerability precisely when a spark is fired by sheer terror! If you survive it, you will have a hair-raising memory that you will share with other people for the rest of your life. If you are harmed by it, you have my sympathy.
I cannot fit examples of my adventures into this article, but I can tell you how to have your own adventure. Play Airport Bingo (Railway Bingo, Cruise Ship Bingo, Taxi Bingo), a game in which you and your favorite person snag two discount tickets, a
The roof of the world is where there is nothing taller than you. We’re going from Lhasa to the border with Nepal. We are twenty tourists who rented a bus, and among us there is also a polio with crutches. The last pass we crossed was 5220 meters, and there was the usual mound of rocks with hundreds of Tibetan flags waving in the wind.
We’re going to spend five days on the bus – we were told before leaving – with eateries very far from each other. The group leader is an American and tells us to organize ourselves for good because the next stop will be after seventeen hours. At that point we just have to buy a few packs of biscuits to the Chinese army bunker in which a soldier is guarding the land and sells biscuits.
The air, of course, is thin, the atmosphere is heavy in spite of the lightness we feel, and we’re clumsy, awkward in movements, wrapped in our yak wool coats and walk, when stop to stretch our legs and piss, like zombies, as if we were on

There are many excursions one can sign up for, and among them skydiving is a popular choice. At the risk of assuming it’s the first time for whomever is reading, rest assured that a tandem skydive will be suggested by an upstanding skydive company. If not, it may be smart to find another company.
Skydiving excursions require that one bring some essential items. First of all, wear comfortable clothing and bring a second set. While some companies provide a jumpsuit, some don’t. Jeans and a shirt that covers well work perfectly in any case. There will likely be pictures and, or video so be sure it’s something that will be acceptable and won’t show too much skin because clothes will fly everywhere.
Another important item is cash to purchase pictures or a video, or even to pay for the excursion. Some companies will give cash payment discounts and one will wish they’d known. Of course this can be verified by phone before arrival.
There are many considerations as well for skydiving excursions. Remember, there can be delays due to other planes, weather, and even other participants. Bring
Survival is an art of maintaining life, and in this regard, you must become an expert. Of course, it is not easy for a man to survive in the woods without any certain skills and experience. If you went into the woods on purpose, for example, for a camping, you probably stocked a knife, a compass, food and warm clothes. But there are always some emergency situations, for example when you just get lost and have to survive extremely out of your original plan. How should you do in that case?
In no case should you be panic, try to calm down and to realistically assess the situation. And then, you should try to call your families and friends if your mobile phone catches the signal. Besides, you can shout for help, perhaps in the woods, there are other people so that you will be heard. If all this did not work, then follow the next.
Searching Water and Food
The basic human survival factors include water and food. If you do not have enough water and food in the backpack while you get lost in the

I’ve been travelling for over 40 years – by thumb in my early days, by boots in the Scouts, a Lambretta came next and then my first old banger followed by newer old bangers to the beaches of the Costa Brava.
My thumb, boots, bikes and bangers took me all over Europe and the UK before finding that a charter flight to Spain on an old ‘Connie’ could get me to the beaches and bars a lot quicker and allow more time to enjoy the local travel opportunities by horse and cart and the occasional bus and train.
‘Go West and Prosper’ seemed to be a good idea so instead of taking an 8 hour flight I took an 8 day transatlantic crossing from Tilbury to Montreal on the Stephan Batory of Polish Ocean Lines ensuring that jet lag did not trouble my travel plans. Some years later I crossed the pond again on a ship but this time it was 5 times bigger and I travelled in style on the QE2 and dined in the Queen’s Grill somewhat removed from my earlier experience.
For years, visitors from certain foreign countries have been able to travel to America without first getting a formal Visa sticker placed in their passport. Implemented in 1998, the “Visa Waiver Program” (VWP) has allowed for visitors of several countries to come to America for tourism or business purposes for up to 90 days without getting a Visa put in their passport. During 2007, more than 15 million visitors from VWP countries arrived in the United States.
As of January 12, 2009 America’s new ESTA program requires Visa Waiver Program visitors coming to the U.S. for tourist or business purposes via a plane or ship to “register” online before entering the United States to see if they pose a law enforcement or security risk to the U.S. ESTA is not required for land crossings. Officials are asking that the ESTA registration be done at least 72 hours prior to leaving, but theoretically it is possible to register at the last minute. An ESTA Travel Authorization is free, valid for 2 years, and valid for multiple entries.
Here are some Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for ESTA Travel
Booking air travel, making hotel reservations and arranging vacation travel in general has changed completely with the advent of the internet and many people try to be their own travel agents. While you can arrange seemingly most of your travel yourself, you can’t do as well as your travel agent in a long run!
Travel processionals, whether your local travel agent, tour operator or destination specialist still possess contacts that you as an industry outsider do not have. As in number of other professions, travel agents, whether in a shopping center near your home or an online agency, wherever they may be located, do know something you do not, have way to book and arrange travel for you in ways unavailable or unknown to you.
Traditionally you could contact a travel agent and ask for a quote, whether a price of an air ticket, hotel or a vacation package. For the most part travel agents still provide that kind of information, although there is a limit how much information they may disclose as not all information is readily available to them.
In order to make the most of your corporate travel budget, it is critical to plan for leveraging your program for all it is worth. Telling travelers to select the lowest logical airfare is just not enough. Here are the elements that should be considered when planning or evaluating your travel program.
1. Travel policy
A well written and disseminated travel policy is the foundation of any good travel program, and I am consistently amazed that so many corporations have such an outdated and poorly conceived travel policy, if they have one at all. It is not difficult to find a well written policy. One can be found online quite easily. All that remains is that it is edited to reflect corporate culture, and disseminated within the company so that everyone understands and agrees to follow it. For this reason, it is a good idea to have everyone sign a copy of the travel policy to ensure that it is read, understood and owned by all company staff. I suggest that everyone in the company signs a copy of the travel policy, whether they travel or
As business travel expenses nose upward, companies are realizing that better cost-management techniques can make a difference
US. corporate travel expenses rocketed to more than $143 billion in 1994, according to American Express’ most recent survey on business travel management. Private-sector employers spend an estimated $2,484 per employee on travel and entertainment, a 17 percent increase over the past four years.
Corporate T&E costs, now the third-largest controllable expense behind sales and data-processing costs, are under new scrutiny. Corporations are realizing that even a savings of 1 percent or 2 percent can translate into millions of dollars added to their bottom line.
Savings of that order are sure to get management’s attention, which is a requirement for this type of project. Involvement begins with understanding and evaluating the components of T&E management in order to control and monitor it more effectively.
Hands-on management includes assigning responsibility for travel management, implementing a quality-measurement system for travel services used, and writing and distributing a formal travel policy. Only 64 percent of U.S. corporations have travel policies.
Even with senior management’s support, the road to savings is rocky-only one in three companies

London. The vibrant, beating heart of the United Kingdom. It’s one of the world’s most popular destinations for tourists, and for business travellers too. The amount of commerce that goes through London is staggering, with a financial centre second only to New York, and service industries that cater for both the UK, European and international markets. As the world’s most multicultural city – there are over 300 languages spoken by a population of over eight million people (twelve million if you include the metropolitan area) – the opportunities for business are clear.
With the UK strategically positioned for the business traveller on the western edge of Europe, London is a global hub for air travel, providing easy access to mainland Europe, and a stepping stone to the United States. Primarily served by five airports – Heathrow, Gatwick, City, Stansted and Luton – London is easily reached from anywhere in the world. But with the exception of London City Airport – smallest of the five and located in East London, close to the business district of Canary Wharf – the other four airports are satellites evenly
There is so much information available on the internet right now regarding travel. There are online travel sites for cruises, hotels, air, trains and any other type of travel. But what is the correct product for you? Is the location of the hotel where you want to be? Is the type of room or cabin the right fit for you? Is that cruise line the one you should be booking? Not all products are created equal nor are the products right for everyone. How do you tell? Contact a travel professional.
Do travel agents exist?
There have been multiple articles, and even the President of the United States, has said travel agents don’t exist or are going away. In a way they are right. Travel agents in the past were just someone who booked a trip for someone who called or came in to the storefront office of a travel agency. Storefront travel agencies are few and far between now a days as most of the “travel agents” have gone home to work. Even the term “travel agent” is going away because what they do now
